This enredo was a grand tribute to the Northeast of Brazil, exploring the differences between the "internationalized" image of Brazil (often spelled with a 'Z') and the authentic, resilient culture of the Northeastern people (the true 'Brasil' with an 'S').
The parade celebrated the music, the literature (cordel), and the legendary strength of the "sertanejo." It highlighted the historical struggles and the vibrant joy of the region, from the dry hinterlands to the colorful festivals of the coast, positioning the Northeast as the cultural heart of the nation.
Mangueira used its green and pink colors to tell a story of pride and identity, blending traditional samba with the sounds and symbols of the Northeast. It was a powerful statement against stereotypes, celebrating the diversity and the authenticity of the Brazilian people.
Result: 1st Place (Champion).
Trivia: This victory was especially emotional as it celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary "lamp" of the Northeast, Lampião.
