This enredo delved into the mystical world of sea legends and the folklore surrounding sirens and water deities. It drew heavily from Afro-Brazilian traditions, particularly the figure of Iemanjá, the Queen of the Sea, and the various myths that sailors and coastal communities have shared for generations.
The presentation was noted for its lyrical beauty and the school's ability to translate the fluid, ethereal nature of the ocean onto the Sambadrome. It celebrated the sea as a source of life, mystery, and spiritual protection for the Brazilian people.
The samba-enredo for this year is remembered for its beautiful, flowing melody that perfectly matched the aquatic theme. It was a poetic and enchanting parade that showcased the school's ability to handle folkloric themes with great artistic sensitivity.
Result: 7th Place.
