Paraíso do Tuiuti is a resilient and increasingly influential samba school based in the São Cristóvão neighborhood, specifically rooted in the Tuiuti hill. Founded in 1952, the school spent several decades fluctuating between the lower access groups before making a definitive and explosive impact on the Special Group in recent years.

 

Dressed in yellow and blue, Tuiuti captured the world’s attention in 2018 with a daring and provocative parade that questioned the "end of slavery" in Brazil, a performance that earned them a historic runner-up spot and a reputation for fearless social commentary.

 

Since then, the school has become known for its intellectual "carnaval-manifesto," blending high-quality artistic execution with powerful messages about labor rights, racial identity, and the struggles of the Brazilian working class, proving that a smaller community school can command the same respect and gravity as the historical giants.
