However, its true heartbeat is the "Bateria Nota 10," specifically famous for its iconic paradinha (a rhythmic stop in the drumming) which was pioneered by the legendary Mestre André. This rhythmic signature, combined with a swing that many consider the most danceable in Rio, gives Mocidade a distinct sonic identity.
